Pool Rules
There is no lifeguard on duty - swim at your own risk.
Below are the rules to follow.
- The pool is open daily from 8 am to 10 pm.
- The pool gate must be locked at all times to comply with DeKalb County code and Leafmore Forest insurance requirements.
- An emergency telephone is located to the right in the red box.
- Bathers must wear bathing attire.
- Shower and rinse thoroughly before entering the pool.
- No solo swimming is allowed - solo swimmers do so at their own risk.
- Residents, their families, and invited guests may use the pool. Residents must accompany their families and guests.
- The resident assumes all responsibility for their guests. Guests must follow all posted rules.
- Children under the age of 12 MUST be accompanied by an adult who is over the age of 18.
- All children three years old and younger and any child not potty-trained must wear snug fitting plastic pants or a water-resistant swim diaper.
- If a resident or their guests contaminate the pool, the cost of restoring the water to safe swimming conditions is the responsibility of the resident.
- Animals are not allowed in the pool with the exception of seeing-eye dogs.
- Beverages and light snacks are permitted in pool area. Keep food and drink at least 5 feet from the pool.
- Glass, sharp objects, or hazardous materials are not allowed in the pool area.
- Cooking or grilling food in the pool area is not allowed.
- Trash must be deposited in the receptacles provided.
- Smoking including vaping and any other forms of tobacco is not permitted in the pool area.
- Diving, running, rough or boisterous play is not allowed in the pool area.
- Bathers with open wounds, skin conditions, or any communicable condition are not allowed in the pool.
- Spitting, spouting, blowing nose, or any bodily excretion is not allowed in the pool.
- Playing music is permitted in a courteous manner as not to disturb others.
- Residents are allowed up to 4 guests; more than 4 guests is considered a pool gathering.
- Residents must schedule pool gatherings through the pool committee on a first come-first served basis, and must be scheduled in advance. The gathering may not exceed 20 people.
- Maximum bather load is 40.
